ミシシッピ大学医療センターについて

ジャクソンに拠点を置くミシシッピ大学医療センターは、州で唯一の学術医療センターです（'s）。UMMCには、医学、看護学、歯学、医療関連専門職、大学院課程、公衆衛生の六つの医療系教育機関があります。全課程の在籍者数は3,000人を超えます。

医療センターの三つの使命（'s）は、将来の医療専門職（'s）を育成し、健康科学の研究を行い、最先端の患者ケアを提供することで、ミシシッピ州民の生活を向上させることです。医療センターの主要な目標の一つは、人種、地理的条件、収入、社会的地位に基づくミシシッピ州民の健康状態の格差をなくすことです。

教育と研究の使命の中核として、UMMCは幅広い患者ケアプログラムを提供しています。University Hospitalは大規模な成人入院施設で、ジャクソン・キャンパスには、ミシシッピ州で唯一の小児病院（'s）、女性・乳児病院（'s、's）、重症患者病院の三つの専門病院も併設されています。UMMCには州で唯一のレベルI外傷センター、唯一のレベルIV新生児集中治療室、州内唯一の臓器移植プログラムのほか、多数の専門紹介医療サービスがあります。UMMCの医学部教員グループ（'s）には約700人の医師が所属し、その多くは各専門分野の第一人者です。医師たちは、キャンパス内やジャクソン都市圏周辺の病院・診療所、州内各地の地域診療所で患者を診療しています。UMMCには、レキシントンのUMMC Holmes County、UMMC Grenada、UMMC Madisonの三つの地域病院もあります。

フルタイムおよびパートタイムの職員を10,000人以上擁するUMMCは、ミシシッピ州最大級の雇用主です。医療センターの年間予算は$2十億ドルで、その約十分の一は学術的使命を支援する州からの交付金です（'s）。この予算はジャクソン都市圏経済の10パーセント、州経済の二パーセントに相当します。UMMCはすべての使命分野で成長を続けています。

Excellent experience! Everyone was so polite and welcoming. I recently lost my mother, and although I had not known them long, they gave me a great deal of support and help during this time. Tiera was also amazing! Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the woman at the front desk, but she was very kind, and I greatly appreciated her hug. The entire team was outstanding, and I think I have found my women’s health home.

We went for an ultrasound to learn the baby's sex and brought our 18-month-old because we could not find childcare. Only just before the ultrasound did staff tell us children were not allowed. No one mentioned this during registration or when we booked the appointment. I had taken time off work for the scan. Clinic policies should not be assumed to be common knowledge unless clearly posted.

I was referred to this clinic, and I have to say that I have had no problems from day one. Every staff member has shown exceptional care and kindness. In the past, doctors and nurses sometimes dismissed my concerns, but these wonderful women take time to listen and assess them as thoroughly as possible. I am glad that someone is finally listening to my concerns about my body. I highly recommend them. Please be patient, as the wait may sometimes be longer, but that is because they take patients seriously and perform thorough examinations, especially ultrasounds.

This medical facility provides very poor service. My appointment was at 2:00, and I arrived 20 minutes early, but I had to leave at 2:45 because no one had seen me. There were no updates, and no one took my vital signs. They are understaffed at every visit, and the wait is an hour. I would not recommend them to anyone because they are fully booked and you cannot schedule at a convenient time, so I missed work without even seeing a doctor.

I have tried calling for several days, but no one answers. Today I waited an hour and a half before the call disconnected. This is very unprofessional and frustrating because I am 6 weeks pregnant and still looking for a doctor. ://
