Dr. MICHAEL J. HICKEY, USA

Dr. Hickey is Director of the Hinsdale Center for Reproduction. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown University and received his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 1984. From 1984 to 1988, he returned to Georgetown University Medical Center, where he completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology. During this time, he received the Resident Research Award.

From 1988 to 1990, he completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Southern California Medical Center.

Dr. Hickey served as president of the National Society of Reproductive Endocrinology Fellows for the 1989–1990 term. He is certified by and an active diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Hickey is married and has three children. When he is not in the office, he can often be found on his sailboat.

I am extremely frustrated with how things turned out. I really liked the doctor and was so hopeful, but unfortunately some people's egos got in the way of the bigger picture. I do not think they realize they are disrupting people's hopes and dreams. It is terrible when staff ruin everything for patients. They know exactly what I am talking about. I was also told I could not even come in to use the app if my insurance was not accepted there. A year later, I found out they were not in my "plan," sent me a $3,000 bill, and refused to send the insurer any more information explaining why the testing was done. The doctor is great, but the staff are not. Do not go!!

I was fortunate to find HCR. Everyone in the office is an angel sent by God. Dr. Hickey makes sure everything is explained and understood. I became pregnant within the first six months of seeing them.

Dr. Hickey, the nurses and nurse practitioners, and office manager Victoria went above and beyond to make one of the hardest journeys bearable. They are kind, attentive, and value each person and their individual circumstances. They help couples facing infertility make their dreams a reality. We were fortunate to have five children with their medical expertise and care!

Dr. Hickey and the entire HCR team are wonderful! They provide personalized, first-class care to every patient. The whole HCR team takes time to get to know you. Without them and Dr. Hickey's impressive surgical skill in treating my endometriosis, our IVF cycle would not have succeeded. Thank you to the entire team!
